Chelsea look at 37 year old Kepa replacement as search gets desperate

Chelsea are in a very difficult situation with regards to their goalkeeper.

Kepa Arrizabalaga has turned out to be a disaster, and he was dropped on two separate occasions by Frank Lampard, including for the final stretch of games of the season.

But the amount of money we spent on him just two summers ago makes going for another top young keeper unpalatable.

Instead the Blues have been linked with various older Premier League stoppers. Today’s edition of The Sun names  Ben Foster and Joe Hart as potential veterans who could join Lampard’s squad for next season.

Foster is 37, which seems disastrous until you realise that Willy Caballero, our number one option by the end of the season, it 38.

None of these players will be a long term solution, just a stop-gap until we can figure out what to do with Kepa and where we can find a good young – and cheap keeper to replace him.

Thanks for your comment.
